This is an USED OEM ignition control module for a M117 V8 with the D-Jetronic fuel injection system found in many MBZ cars from 73-75. This unit was removed from a running 1973 450SL. The wires are flexible. The plastic end cap are brittle and some plastic was cracked and chipped off. All parts were cleaned, inspected and bench tested for functionality or otherwise will be stated as Non-Functioning. I have 3 of these and either one will be sent. This is a good working condition USED ignition control module, sometimes called EZL, for a 86-89 W107 560SL or 86-91 W126 sedan. Faulty ignition control modules (EZL) are a common cause of hard to start or won’t start or intermittent starting problem or even stalling – common problem causing the ignition module. Are faulty alternator’s voltage regulator spikes and/or use of incorrect spark plugs’ resistor. Please check into these common causes before replacing the unit. Replacing the unit with out checking the cause will only burn out the new one shortly.
