Interceptor Classic Car Ignition – Fully Programmable Electronic Timing Control. The Interceptor Ignition from RetroMotion Innovations works by “intercepting” the trigger signal between the distributor and the coil, allowing digital control of centrifugal and vacuum advance. You can keep your vehicle appearance completely original as the unit can be easily hidden under the dash. On most classic cars, Interceptor connects directly to the stock (non high-energy) coil. It can be used with high energy coils if installed in conjunction with an aftermarket ignition amplifier. Store up to 8 ignition maps in memory. Import/export saved maps from your PC. Toggle between 2 maps instantly without a PC. Adjustable in increments of 500 RPM centrifugal, 2 inHg vacuum. Boost version allows positive or negative timing adjustments (boost retard). Software controlled REV limiter. Immobilizer wire disables ignition for theft deterrent. For engines with single coils and 1 to 12 even-firing cylinders (most engines). Works with most triggering signals including points, hall-effect reluctor, optical, and crankshaft triggers. Directly connects to 12V negative ground ignition systems with a coil resistance of 1.2 ohms or numerically higher (stock coils). Will not work with high energy coils such as MSD Blaster.
